Has the EU project of political and economic integration stalled?

  • It's not dead, but it seems to have stalled.
  • Integrationist politicians are weak and populists (Le Pen in France, Farage in UK, Wilders in the Netherlands, Orban in Hungary, Catalan & Scottish nationalists) are strong.
  • The euro seems to be going nowhere (not being killed, not being celebrated) and national priorities seem to be usurping EU priorities.
